Dr. Cydney Terreri is an NJ-licensed psychologist who has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of psychological and emotional concerns. This includes mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, sleep disturbances, trauma, disruptive behavior disorders, ADD/ADHD, adjustment difficulties, grief, and identity and relationship concerns.

Dr. Terreri completed her BA at Rutgers University, where she graduated with Highest Honors in Psychology and was awarded Most Outstanding Student in Psychology and Most Outstanding Honors Thesis in Psychology. She received her masters and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Fordham University, with a concentration in working with children and families. Her doctoral dissertation research focused on the study of spirituality and its relation to psychological adjustment in adolescents.

During her doctoral studies, Dr. Terreri completed several clinical training experiences, including Fordham University’s college counseling center, Long Island Jewish Medical Center’s outpatient clinic and psychiatric emergency room, New York University’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, Queens Children’s Psychiatric Center’s inpatient program, and Newark Beth Israel’s Regional Diagnostic and Treatment Center for victims of childhood abuse and neglect. Dr. Terreri completed her year-long, APA-accredited clinical internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)-University Behavioral HealthCare (UBHC). As an intern in the program’s child and adolescent track, she received specialized training in psychological and psychoeducational assessment, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, motivational interviewing, and the treatment of childhood trauma.

Dr. Terreri completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Princeton University’s college counseling center. She continued to work at Princeton University for a few years before moving to a private practice setting. Dr. Terreri is the author of several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and she is a member of the American Psychological Association and the New Jersey Psychological Association.
